What’s New for the 2023 Hyundai Sonata?

The Hyundai Sonata is a well-equipped sedan across all its trims, and its sporty, contemporary design makes it a standout on Memphis roads. For 2023, the Sonata introduces a few updates, including eliminating the N Line Night Edition. In addition, only the 2023 Hyundai Sonata Limited or N Line will have highway driving assistance. If you opt for the Sonata SEL, you can enjoy a more extensive, 10.25-inch touch display screen with a navigation system.

The 2023 Hyundai Sonata’s appealing design is unchanged. It shows off a long, enviable profile that flows effortlessly across a swooping hood and a low-profile, curved roof. The black grille has a hexagon shape and covers the nose from top to bottom. Triangular, molded air vents and multi-bulb headlights accompany it. These eye-catching headlights are combined with a sharp LED ribbon that trends back across the sides of the hood. The Sonata offers 16-inch to 19-inch wheels, rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic sunroof, and heated side mirrors at various trim levels.

The Sonata’s exceptional performance is unchanged for its 2023 model year. The first two trims pull 191 horsepower from a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The powertrain system also includes front-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The mid-level trims receive 180 horsepower from a turbo 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine, which pairs with an advanced transmission and paddle shifters. The top N Line trim comes with a 290 horsepower, turbo 2.5-liter, four-cylinder system and an automatic eight-speed, dual-clutch transmission.

The base Sonata SE has an exceptional selection of cabin and safety features. These standard features include an 8-inch central display screen, a six-speaker sound system, remote keyless entry, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, driver attention warning, safe exit assist, reverse automatic braking, a rear cross-traffic warning, forward collision auto braking, and more. Some or all of the higher Sonata trims add heated front seats, Bluelink, a dual-zone automatic climate system, a digital instrumentation display, Digital Key, wireless smartphone charging, leather material, a Bose sound system, a head-up display, a surround-view monitor and others.
