Serving Memphis, TN
The Santa Fe and the Palisade are the two largest SUVs in the Hyundai lineup today, so they understandably have your full attention as you prepare to make your next purchase. Both of these are midsize SUV models, but they have notable differences. For example, the Santa Fe accommodates five passengers while the Palisade may seat up to eight passengers with three rows of seating. What else should you know about the 2022 Santa Fe and the 2022 Palisade before you narrow down your options further?
Performance
There are four powertrains available for the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe. These include a hybrid system, a plug-in hybrid system, and two gas engines. The entry-level gas engine is a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter system. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and gives you 191 horsepower. A turbocharged variant of this four-cylinder engine produces 281 horsepower. Meanwhile, there’s one powertrain for the 2022 Hyundai Palisade, which is a 3.8-liter V6 gas engine that produces 291 horsepower. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both SUVs come standard with front-wheel drive and are available with all-wheel drive.
Appearance
The Santa Fe and the Palisade express their styles with strong individuality. These models have a two-part LED headlight design and triangle-type mesh on the grille. The Santa Fe, however, has T-shaped headlights. It also shows off a tall, arched roof and a sloping hood. The door panels have a crisp definition across the upper and lower perimeters. The Palisade’s segmented headlights have a vertical bar theme, and they flank a chrome-accented grille that tapers fluidly inward. This Hyundai SUV has an elongated profile to accommodate its three-row cabin. Both the sides and hood have a decadent definition for an added touch of distinctive class.
Features
While these Hyundai SUVs have some shared features, there are notable differences. The Santa Fe comes with equipment like a power sunroof, leather material, a premium sound system, memory settings for the driver’s seat, smart device integration, heated rear and front seats, an auto climate management system, blind-spot monitoring, rain-sensing wipers, an auto parking system, a heads-up display screen, ambient interior lighting, and many other features.
Because the Palisade has a third row of seats, it adds more USB ports throughout the cabin, optional second-row captain’s chairs, and power-folding functionality in the second row. Additional features in the Palisade are smart device integration, a household-style power outlet, a hands-free liftgate, leather material, a sunroof, adaptive cruise control, and more.
