You can choose between four engine systems if you opt to drive the 2023 Elantra. A 147-horsepower, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine with a CVT is in the first three trim levels. The mid-level Hybrid Blue trim comes with a hybrid 1.6-liter, 139-horsepower engine combined with an auto six-speed transmission. The higher Elantra trims are equipped with a 201-horsepower, four-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbo system or a turbo 2.0-liter, 276-horsepower engine. In comparison, there are three engines offered across the Sonata’s trims. The base option is a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter, 191-horsepower gas engine. The other two engines are a four-cylinder, turbo 1.6-liter, 180-horsepower unit and a turbo 2.5-liter, four-cylinder, 290-horsepower system.
Appearance
The 2023 Elantra has a modern, sporty exterior that quickly grabs attention on the road. Its smooth sides are moderately molded, combining with a strong curve across the roof. The hood has stunning accent lines that draw attention to its curves. The front of the Elantra displays angled headlights with an upper LED ribbon, triangular air intakes, and a radiating mesh pattern on a tall grille. The Sonata’s style is equally contemporary and distinctly sophisticated, with a long, swooping profile and pinstripe lines flowing through the sides. At the Sonata’s front end, the hexagon grille is separated from the triangle-style air vents and the stunning headlights. An LED ribbon wraps around the headlights and flares dramatically back along the sides of the hood.
Features
