A Bold New Look: The Modern Aesthetics of the 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric

There’s nothing boring about the electric Hyundai Kona — starting with its striking exterior design.

Sharp lines and a bold wheel design further set this SUV apart. You can choose from an array of paint colors, such as daring Neoteric Yellow and Ultimate Red Metallic. Or, you can go for softer shades like Mirage Green and Meta Blue Pearl or opt for classic hues like Abyss Black Pearl, Atlas White, Cyber Gray Metallic, and Ecotronic Gray Pearl. Projector LED headlights come standard, while the taillights are LED combination, except on the Limited trim, which comes with full LED tailights.

All trim levels are designed with a rear spoiler: Bodycolor for the SE and SEL, Bodycolor and Gloss Black for the N-Line, and Satin Chrome for the Limited. All of the trim levels come with roof rails except for the SE. The N-Line offers several distinct features like black window trim, N-Line front and side emblems, and N-Line front and rear lower fascias.

Inside the Cabin: Combining Comfort with Cutting-Edge Technology

The interior Hyundai Kona Electric design features convenient technology, thoughtful amenities, and chic color options, including Black, Gray, and Sage Green, depending on the trim level you choose. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with navigation come standard, along with wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® and a Wi-Fi hotspot, keeping you connected on the go. Available upgrades include wireless device charging for ultimate convenience and a Bose Premium Audio System for a next-level sound experience.

But tech doesn’t stop there. Wherever you go, you’ll appreciate being accompanied by a variety of safety features like:

  • Blind-Spot Collision Warning
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist
  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Junction Turning, and Direct Oncoming
  • Lane Keeping Assist
  • Lane Following Assist

  • And more!

The two top trim levels come with a power tilt-and-slide sunroof with a sunshade, which enhances the cabin with more natural light and a more open-air feel, as well as a hands-free smart liftgate with auto-open, which provides easy access when you have a lot to carry — another example of how this SUV adds convenience to your everyday life.

Cloth seating surfaces come standard on the SE and SEL, H-Tex® leatherette-trimmed seats come standard on the Limited, and N-Line Black Alcantara® Sport combination seating (Leatherette & Alcantara®) come standard on the N-Line. Enjoy the comfort of heated front seats, standard on all trim levels except the base trim, and ventilated seats, only standard on the Limited trim.

Power Meets Efficiency: Performance Highlights of the Kona Electric

One of the best parts about owning an electric Hyundai is: no more stops at the pump!

This all-electric SUV boasts an EPA-estimated range of up to 261 miles,1 depending on which trim level you choose, allowing you to travel a long way without interruptions. But when you do have to stop to charge your vehicle, the Hyundai Kona Electric is capable of charging from 10% to 80% in 43 minutes when a 400V DC fast charger is used.2 And that’s not all! With an additional accessory (sold separately), you can even power larger electric equipment and appliances, when needed, thanks to this impressive EV’s Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) exterior charging capability.3

Front-wheel drive is standard on the Kona Electric, as is Drive Mode Select, which includes Eco, Normal, Sport, and Snow, for different driving conditions. All trim levels produce 188 pound-feet of torque, and all trim levels except the SE output 201 horsepower. The SE outputs 133 horsepower.
